BALLPARK TOURS PLANNING FOR 2021 TRIP
Time to Get on the Bus … and into the Park
As the nation falls into an early February deep freeze, fans turn to warming thoughts of baseball and Spring Training. And the news is promising, as teams are beginning to report that fans (in specified numbers) will be allowed into Spring Training games.
Baseball, of course is a game of optimism. How often have we heard “Wait until next year?” Well, Ballpark Tours is optimistic this is the regular-season “next year,” we were all waiting for last year. With that in mind, Ballpark Tours is moving ahead with plans for BPT’s Bleacher Bum’s XXXVIII. It will be the 38th season of trips, but our 39th year! Should the moniker be – Bleacher Bums XXXVIII Revisited?
We’re looking into tickets, lodging and more for a trip to take place in late July or early August – taking in minor- and major-league games in the Midwest. We’re aiming for another “Show Me State Showdown” – with Kansas City and St. Louis as key targets. MLB left a few minor-league teams intact in Iowa, so we’ll visit one or two coming and going. As always, we’ll be working to provide plenty of opportunities to take in the local cuisine and culture (not to mention beverages and live entertainment)! In addition, microbreweries abound in the heartland and BPT’s crack crew can sniff them out to make our stops enroute a bit more enjoyable.
We are also focusing on the usual Ballpark Tours “on board the bus hoopla” (commemorative t-shirt, trivia quiz, baseball book exchange and more.) As our Kwizmaster has often said, “On a Ballpark Tours journey, every mile is a memory.”
Ballpark Tour “veterans” – we have been doing this since 1982, after all – are already reserving space on this trip, so now would be a good time to get in touch. For more information:
