Ballpark Tours 2021 Midwest Meander Revisited .. all Systems Go!
Bleachers Bums XXXVIII … Midwest Meander – REVISITED
July 27- August 4, 2021
Nine Days – Seven Ball Games – Four Cities
All the Usual Ballpark Tours Hoopla
Baseball’s back in full swing!!! And so is Ballpark Tours – Celebrating it’s 39th year in style … Midwest Style. This year’s tour will take us to seven ball games in four cities – including three nights in St. Louis – with its a host of cultural, dining and entertainment options. Along the way, you may even score some great baseball souvenirs (beyond your custom “Midwest Meander” t-shirt) like a Cardinals’ Nickname T-Shirt, Ted Simmons Bobblehead or Quad City River Bandits Pint Glass. There will also be all the usual Ballpark Tours on-board “Hoopla,” – from the K-Kwiz to the antics of The Rev and Phillip DeBowle to the music that always seems to rise up from the back of the bus. As with most Ballpark Tours journeys, we are also sure to find a brewery or two along the way. Note: You’ll find a link to a printable sign-up sheet later in this post.
Tuesday July 27 – Louisville Bats @ Iowa Cubs (Des Moines, IA)
Wednesday July 28 – South Bend Cubs @ Quad Cities River Bandits (Davenport, Iowa)
Thursday July 29 – South Bend Cubs @ Quad City River Bandits
Friday July 30 – Minnesota Twins @ Saint Louis Cardinals
Saturday July 31 – Twins @ Cardinals
Sunday August 1 – Twins @ Cardinals
Tuesday August 3 – Quad City Bandits @ Cedar Rapids Kernels (Cedar Rapids, IA)
In true Ballpark Tours tradition (we’ve been around 39 years, so our traditions run deep), there will be plenty of baseball, entertaining on-bus activities and banter and lots of “in-port” recreational and cultural opportunities. In St. Louis, for example, you can take in the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum or the National Blues Museum (or both), as well as find plenty of night life options – including Ballpark Village, with its host of libation, dining and entertainment options. Yes, Ballpark Tours’ favored combination of Blues, Brews and Baseball (and, for some, barbeque) are all part of the St. Louis experience. In Des Moines, there is the Historic East Village and Historic Court District (shopping, dining, and entertainment), while in Davenport, you can choose from the lively downtown area or the Village of East Davenport, with its shopping an entertainment district.
Interested? It’s $1,575 (double) and with the trip already about three-quarters full, the time to act is now. Click the link below for a printable sign-up form.

An Ode the Ballpark Tours “Trekkies”
The fans are returning, full stadiums are approaching
And Ballpark Tours unique brand of trekkies are ready to go motor-coaching.
The tour bus will fill up soon and be ready to depart,
For a Meander to the Midwest – in the middle of baseball’s heart.
Nine Days, Seven Games, Four Cities – and memories of the last time
We journeyed on a bus dedicated to the National Pastime.
So, let’s all get together and enjoy the game we love,
On a trip that will fit any baseball fan as nicely as a (batting ) glove.
